Attendance

The party met Hroth in the Inn of the Welcome Wench. Hroth explained that someone or something was stalking his prize competition animals. Hroth offered the adventurers 50gp if they would solve this mystery and an extra 50gp if they saved all of his prize animals.
Hroth took the party back to his farm, explained the situation, and gave a tour of his property.
The party set about investigating the mysterious livestock stalker when suddenly something attacked the chicken coop!
Maeni tracked the intruder into a nearby meadow off the edge of town. It looked like a bestial goat creature eating a slain chicken.
Thanks to Maeni approaching from downwind, the adventurers were able to surprise attack the creature. But it fought back ferociously, nearly killing Sir Erdan Varathon.
Maeni finally put the beast down with a well-placed arrow, saving Erdan as his unconscious body was being carried off to be eaten.
Tge party discovered that the creature was some sort of shape-shifting wolf-like monstrosity.
The adventurers returned to the Inn of the Welcome Wench. They were greeted by town notables and Inn owners, the Gundigoots. They were warned to not make trouble in town.

After a night's rest, the adventurers spoke to Rannos Davl and Gremag at the Trading Post, seeking information and promise of reward for restoring trade between Hommlet and Verbobonc.
Rannos Davl was hesitant to offer any reward but agreed to hand over some surplus holy water should trade be restored.
Seeking further reward for helping the town, the adventurers sought out the Village Elder, Kenter Nevets. Kenter turned out to be a mischevious old man that finds amusement messing with adventurers.
Kenter agreed that if the party restored trade, he would give them their choice of 80gp or a scroll he "got from a wizard a while back."
The party departed town traveling up the road to Verbobonc.
Eventually, the party made camp and slept through the night.

Next morning, the party set out along the road again.
They came across a destroyed wagon. There were two bodies weirdly stripped of their flesh, one with thorny spines sticking out of what remained of its back. Christaan caught a whiff of garlic.
After following a set of unusual tracks, the adventurers came across another destroyed wagon.
This second wagon was completely flipped over and appeared to have been modified with shields and bits of wood nailed along the sides. The nearby road appears to have been reclaimed by nature despite the road being recently used.
The whole party got a whiff of garlic. Maeni looked down by her foot and noticed a plant rustling nearby.
