Trading Post

Game Master's note: Our game sessions are too short to roleplay haggling with the Trading Post merchants. This section will outline their pricing structure so you have an idea of what to expect when you attempt to purchase or sell something. All merchant rolls must be made by the Game Master. Feel free to reach out to the Game Master outside the game to arrange sales and purchases when your characters are staying in town.

General Items

Starting purchase price of an item is 150% of the price listed in the Player's Handbook. A DC 15 Charisma (Persuasion) check can be made to haggle. On a success, the price will be reduced by 1d4 x 10%.

For an item brought in for sale, assuming it's in good condition, the traders will initially offer 25% of its listed value. A DC 15 Charisma (Persuasion) check can be made to haggle. On a success, the traders can be convinced to offer up to (1d4 + 3) x 10% of the item's value.
